New to Spree

Bringing a group for the first time?

Spree Wales is designed for church groups, with children and young people aged 8 to 15 attending alongside their group leaders.

Groups camp together for the weekend, take part in the main teaching sessions, and have plenty of time for activities, workshops, and everything else happening across the site.

Booking a group

The first step is for a Group Coordinator to register the group through SolidRock, our booking and tickets platform.

The Group Coordinator is the main person responsible for setting the group up and making sure the right information is provided. Once the group has been created, they can either register people directly or share the group’s unique booking link so parents and group leaders can complete their own bookings.

Everyone attending must be linked to a registered group.

NEW GROUP OFFER

Bringing leaders

Group leaders must be aged 18 or over, with a minimum recommended ratio of 1 adult to 8 young people.

All adults on site must meet the relevant enhanced DBS requirements, and groups should follow their own safeguarding policies when required.

Group leaders remain responsible for their group throughout the weekend, including supervision, welfare, medication, and overnight arrangements.

Camping together

Groups bring their own tents, and caravans and campervans can also be brought with prior notification. Toilets, showers, drinking-water points, and accessible facilities are available on site.

Groups can choose the weekend catering package, self-cater, or buy food from Sally’s Diner.

Support for group leaders

Group leaders receive information before the weekend through the Group Leader Guide, webinars, and email communication.

During Spree, the Leaders Lounge provides a dedicated space for leaders, with tea and coffee available throughout the weekend.
